Garry Bradford founded UniqueHR and Unique Employment Services in 1991.
With his visionary leadership, UniqueHR and Unique Employment Services have become industry leaders offering relief from burdensome Human Resource activities to our clients.
Prior to founding Unique, Garry was a Store Manager and District Manager of Men’s Divisions and a Corporate Buyer for the J.C. Penney Company. Simultaneously, Garry spent thirty years serving our country on Active and Reserve duty with the United States Army, retiring with a rank of Colonel. His military training included the Basic and Advanced Infantry Officers Course, Basic and Advanced Military Intelligence Officers Course, and Command and General Staff College. Garry is also an Eagle Scout.
In addition to UniqueHR’s memberships and national accreditations, as a whole the company continually strives to set the standard for Professional Employer Organizations (PEO) nationwide. In this effort, Garry has served on the NAPEO Board of Directors for multiple terms, served as the National Government Affairs Committee Chairperson for two years, and was the President of the Texas NAPEO Chapter for a total of four years. Garry also received NAPEO’s esteemed Michaeline A. Doyle award for his visionary leadership, education of PEOs to the marketplace, and established business practices in our industry. Garry is one of only 16 recipients to have ever received this top honor. Additionally, in 2006, Garry was awarded NAPEO’s Government Affairs Leadership Award. He is one of only 12 recipients to have ever received this award.
Garry was also one of the four originating PEO members who founded the Best Practices Workers’ Compensation Certification Institute (CI) and served as the very first Chairman of the Board. UniqueHR has been certified by the CI since 2003 and also by the Employer Services Assurance Corporation (ESAC) where Garry served on the ESAC Board of Directors for a total of four years. Additionally, UniqueHR has been certified by the Center for Fiduciary Excellence(CEFEX) since 2008.
Garry received his B.S. in Natural Science and Business Administration from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. He completed his M.A. in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College. In addition, he took advanced management studies at Harvard Business School and New York University. Garry has also attended courses through PEO University (NAPEO’s Education System) to include over ninety hours of professional courses and seminars. Some of these courses were: Workers’ Compensation Insurance, Health Care Insurance, Risk Management, Human Resources, Payroll Taxes, Payroll Systems, E-Commerce, Claims Management and Legal Issues Related to PEO’s, and many more.
