Jayce Zuniga



Unique Employment Services’ recruiter Jayce Zuniga has traveled a road with many stops and ups and downs to get where she is today.  

Born in Port Arthur, Texas, Jayce experienced a formidable childhood that included several moves out of state, temporary homes, and other personal challenges.  

Jayce would meet her husband of 14 years in 2008 and worked the hard job of a stay-at-home mother to two wonderful children for a few years before returning to work outside of the home.  

Coming back to the workforce was a grind all its own for Jayce, as she struggled to find a reliable job fit over the span of 7 years, whether it be due to bad luck, natural disasters or of course, a pandemic. The silver lining of those years was her ability to pick up skills to pair with her artistic background and become a self-proclaimed Jack of Many Trades.  

Jayce’s fortune would change when Unique Employment Services recruiter Jessica Arroyo, a connection she met during her time as a wedding planner, helped her realize that recruiting was a perfect job match for her. After going through the UES hiring process, Jayce became a part of the Unique family.  

For Jayce, it has been the right fit with the right people, which she values even more because of her journey. “I relate to our candidates and applicants because I know what it is like to just be job searching,” she said. “If you got paid for going on as many interviews as I did, I probably would never have to work. It was a lot. So, I try and make that less stressful for our applicants. I try to match them to their perfect position, and I think they really appreciate that. I know I did when I was in that position.”  

For candidates looking for a job, Jayce had some words of advice, with a simple message about persistence: “You can never bother someone too much as long as your intentions are good,” she said. “Reach out, show initiative, listen to people around you who love you, and listen to the advice your recruiter has for you. We’re only trying to help you. We’re in this to help our candidates find a great job or career, as well as help our clients find the perfect new employee.”
